Abstract
Exposures to virtual reality today have a great impact on large groups of young people.
Currently, this technique is entering the area of education with the development of
educational systems based on immersive, augmented or mixed experiences. However,
the appearance of feelings of fear, panic, situations of dependency or addiction
(gambling) has been verified as effects at the level of the psyche that can appear during
or after exposure to virtual reality. Research in the area of medical sciences does not
provide a concrete explanation for the appearance of the aforementioned effects and
limits the possibility of establishing the optimal moment to abandon virtual reality before the unwanted effects or their symptoms appear and thus avoid the triggering of diseases in subjects with high sensitivity. However, in the scientific literature, experiences are accumulating that allow these effects to be minimized or attenuated. The following work is an exploratory study to implement educational actions that contribute to good practices implemented worldwide to minimize the unwanted effects of exposure to virtual reality in young people.
